I coudn't believe that this is going to be my last blog....
It seems like I do not want this to end..
But as what they say, some good things are not just meant to last..
I cannot forget my first day on CC12. It was a moment of shock and complete horror for our mentor at that time was a total stranger to us. Soon, we realized that he was the coolest living creature in the whole planet. It was semester full of fun, learning and enjoyment!
I will always remember the stories, the literary pieces, the oral presentations, the games, and not to mention, the prizes that made me wish for CC12 class always to happen. Oh, thinking about it all brings tears into my eyes.(Drama! ) LOL!
And the last thing that we did was holding a variety show at the AVR. We were so STRESSED and DISTRESSED for we honestly believe that it wouldn't work out since we were all busy of many things. Yes, many! But still, we were so glad to present it. Seeing our mentor's happy face during the presentation was enough to make us say "It's all worth it!"
To my classmates and friends, the CC12 ride was great because I was with you guys! To our mentor, a big THANK YOU for your kindness, generosity and patience.
Hoping for more journeys together with you....
God bless!

This is it!

The title of this post might sound so Jackson-like but it's just the most suitable heading I could give as of this moment. This week, it was my chance to present on The Hobbit written by J.R.R. Tolkien himself. Months ago, I have finished reading the novel, but I took it by heart once again so that I can really familiarize the story.
Since I am not blessed with an artistic hands, and since it would be very rude to disturb other busy people to make the pictures for me, I decided to use powerpoint presentation to lessen the hassle and cost. ( For I am honestly out of time and out of funds, too..) So, to make this short, I was able to present and I don't know how it came out really. All I know is that I gave my best. If it wasn't enough, then better play that soundtrack entitled "Just Once" to suit the melodramatic mood. (hehe..) Anyway, I enjoyed it and it's all that matters to me. Not to mention the good things I have grasped from Tolkien's literature...it's a win-win situation for me, really.
This week, it has been a time of rushing things. Many presentors were made to report since it's almost one week to go before finals. I enjoyed the Handersen story, as well as the Niarnia, Juan Pusong and Grimms Brother stories. And this Saturday, we had a film showiing on Lovely Bones and Aladin. I really, really loved Lovely Bones. It made me cry a good deal of tears. It was fascinating! I learned many things out of it.
ChildrensLit subject is great! It introduced me to the many faces of literature and not to mention, it gave me a full stomach every session. Just loved it!
Gotta enjoy my remaining few days in this ChildLitlandia.
God bless!

In the land of Children'sLit...

This week was has been as exciting as the fast few weeks. It was Ivy's turn to present the children's all-tim e favorite story - Peter Pan! Ivy used pictures while telling the story. And as expected, our jaws dropped, literally, when she presented those pictures! Oh, how I wish I can draw pictures like those! Ivy really have a lot to thank God for her gifted hands. (Char...)
Since Ivy's report was quite long, she took the land of ChildLit this whole, straight week! (Yeah, ija nang gipulihan si Sir...hehehe..)And as a matter of fact, she has to continue this coming Monday. But anyway, it was an amusing story. No one could be bored when one hears Peter Pan's adventures!
Well, I just have few words to say on the story. I think J.M. Barrie was quite fond of children that's why he has this fire in writing this one. And it was really amusing you can't help but laugh at the characters' witty lines! Really, the author is a product of artistic and creative genetic designs. He has the kind of writing that can make both the young and young at hearts laugh, cry, and believe the unbelievable.... With this kind of liteteraure, perhaps, I can still believe in fairies after all...
God bless!
