gud eve...
last week in our children s literature 12,we finished watching the film showing entitled "Tuck Everlasting". The movie was disgusting because weeny died. I don't like the ending of the story. I thought weeny and Jesse would be together. We also had an oral report about the "Mother Goose Rhyme" reported by me. It was hard for me to report about rhymes because i don't know how to start and i don't have good voice. But i tried my best to present my oral report. and mostly it was difficult for me because it was my first time to teach how to sing a rhyme......
that's all i can say...

Wonderland..

This week was indeed a proof that Childrens's Literature class is a wonderland!
Jocelyn made an evaluation or activity for her presentation of Tuck Everlasting. It was full of fun and laughter since it was a game. It was really nerve-wracking too since a "Pass the Message" game took place. Again, our sweet teeth are satisfied. Thanks to the Chocolates!..eheehh...
Then, Genie's turn arrived! She was such a good actress in her performance of "Alice in the Wonderland". It was not really a total shocker to me since I have known alreay that Genie is a promising actress. Char.. The activity made room 216 a fun house since we all roared in laughter as a player gets the chance to act something out. It was totally a fun activity. Not to mention, the game made us witness how Marvie can shake those hips! LOL!
Indeed, this week's encounters were but drops of taste on the real sweetness of Children's Literature Wonderland!
God bless!

Blog Everlasting..hehe..

Another week of Children's Literature! And here's another blog...
This week it was Jocelyn's turn to present. It was a familiar one to me since I've read it way back 4th year HS. Guess what? A story I really fell in love with,,,Natalie Babbit's Tuck Everlasting! Jocelyn made it a film showing. It was truly adorable although it had several loopholes due to technical malfunction. And worse, we were not able to watch it thoroughly. Luckily, I have watched the movie and read the book years ago.
The story's theme mainly points out on life and death. Imagine how a spring can offer a lifetime? That perhaps sounds fantastic and I bet everyone would give up everything they have for a single drop of water from it. But as what I've seen with the Tuck family, I guess they were lucky enough they have each other for keeps because if not, then I think life would not be happy for them. A line that strucked me most is the one Jessie's father told Winnie, it somehow goes like this: "Don't be afraid of death. Be afraid of unlive life. " I really agree on that. As what they say it doesn't matter how years you add to your life. What truly counts is how you add life to your years...For what good is to live forever if the ones you love are not there anymore? To whom do you share your laughters and tears with? Oh, that would be so unbearable to me!
Honestly, life sometimes offers me pain more than joy. But what I'm thankful for is that God taught me how to look at the brighter sad of life. I also learned to treasure the people around me. I think what really makes me survive here on earth is the hope, faith and love that I receive everyday. And I guess it would be much better if I also give these three important vitamins..hehe..
As for me, I don't wish for a lifetime of existence in this world. I only wish for a fulfilled life. And that I know is a life held in God's mighty hand.
God bless!

Happenings..

Another week of fun, entertainment and good dose of literature!
Monday. Sir commented on our presentations. Too bad, he wasn't able to concentrate in our group's presentation since his mind was like "floating somewhere else" because he was really pressured. But all in all, it was a round of applause for all of us. (Gemzz...) Our instructor gave us our remaining test results/test papers. And to top the list? Our MidTerm grades were given! Uh-oh. That sounds really creepy.... But thanks God my rating was good. Yeah, pretty good. I couldn't ask for more. (Char... )It's a good thing our instructor is very generous and he gives what is due to us. Unlike some teachers who seems so insecure in giving high grades. Thanks Sir!
Wednesday. Marjun reported on his topic, Harry Potter. He chose "The Half-blood Prince" edition. He used a powerpoint presentation. It was a cool thing though it has flaws since it wasn't properly organized. But all in all, Marjun's rendition made me love Harry Potter once more! J.K. Rowling indeed is a genius! The activity was the most awaited part. And once again, our sweet teeth were satisfied! Thanks to Marjun's Curly Tops prizes! ( hehehehe..)
Friday. It's "Yipeeee!" time for us! No class since it was our recollection day. Our halos were appearing..hihi..
And now, PreFinal Exams is awaiting for us. But I guess that wouldn't be a problem in this club!(Right, sir?LOL!)
Now I better go...
Blog you soon!
God bless!

Unforgettable..

This week was truly an unforgettable one!
We didn't have any oral presentations and lectures since we were concentrating for our presentation on the coming college days! We are assigned to be the presentors for the STORYTELLING BOOTH.
Our class was fused with the other section. The group that I belonged to is the "Princess and the Pea" gang. I was really nervous even before the presentation since we were not that prepared due to time constraints in terms of practices and etc. And to think of, at the last night of practice, our prince wasn't around! I thought Manuelito would back out but thanks God he didn't! (pa-thrilling jud ang vakloosh!)
On the presentation day, I was a bit feeling giddy and I really wanted to start already so that this burden will be totally over! I was assigned to be the storyteller. And to make the story short, we ended up feeling great and relieved! It was really a fulfilling experience. Not to mention the smiles and laughter that we saw from our audience (particularly the children). It just makes TEACHING a truly noble job! I don't mind if our presentation had loopholes or whatsoever. What matters to me is that we did our best and we enjoyed it to the fullest.
Thank you Sir for giving us the oppurtunity and we truly appreciate your support before, during and after the show! Thanks also to Drich, Manuelito and Edfer for their big help in making the presentation possible! Also to the children and the rest of the audience who watched the performance. And most of all, thanks to my groupmates, classmates and other group of storytellers for their undying effort and support. Congratulations everyone! My hat's off to all of you!
God bless!
